I was leaning at the pillar, watching the buses went by me. Recalling all the past memories, both happy and sad when I was in secondary school. I wish to talk to someone, but...
I had a great day at my secondary school's (Christchurch sec.) carnival. A few of my friends are relief teachers there, since they are waiting for the 'A' level result, and were selling tickets of CHR's carnival.
I promised to buy from them and went there at around 4 o'clock. Had a great pool game at the staff lounge with some of my old classmates, Juliana, Cheng Ken and Vincent until we were chased out as I'm not a staff \/= -_-)/
After which, we went to the airport to see Emily off but we were too late and end up not being able to say goodbye to her. = (
Had our dinner at T3. Wow, it was damn big and very nice. There's even NTUC fairprice there. We bought Popeye (remember? the very old cartoon, Popeye the sailor man!) and eat at some deserted corner.
We walked around T3 before taking the Skytrain to T1. Then we slowly chat and walk towards the bus stops at the bottom level of the airport. Someone saw the their bus approaching from a distant and dash across the road. I continue walking slowly and watch as they board the bus hurriedly. No goodbye... and I was the only left there. Obviously no one remember me and I found myself back to reality.
I leaned at the pillar, watching the buses went by me one by one. Recalling all the past memories, both happy and sad when I was in secondary school. I was emotional and wish to talk to someone, i figure no one would care. I had a friend that we recently became very close, but I just felt that I was interferring with her life too much... I'm treating her as my best friend but not expecting her to have the same feeling... she still has her good friends too... but I don't.
I've a lot friends too, but there is not much whom I can trust, whom would listen to my rant, and would trust me enough to share their feelings. I have such friends when I was in secondary school... but in IMD...
There was a lot of backstabbing and competition in IMD. People would just come and peek o'er at your work and mentally compare your work with theirs. If theirs is much better, they would smile and go away but if yours is better than theirs, they will say, "wao lao... so good, spoil market arh!?" and will quickly get back to do more work and try to beat you the next time round.
Its like, I don't care okay... so what if yours is better than mine? and pleassseee... if you want to compare, at least don't be so obvious can? You know what I mean? Those look a few second, a moment of silent and go without giving any comment. Haha... your body language betray you.
Yes, I also go around watching others but for me, its either I am tired and need to walk around and see how others are doing or I am feeling good that day and want to help others and advice them what to do. Seriously, would you want to compare with weaker people like ******? I look at theirs and really tell them how they can improve (if I can) or give them more motivation by saying the good points of their design.
I just want to point out that competition is normal but when you go into extreme and would do whatever to beat them, scheme, bad-mouth, or even befriend someone due competition,
it unhealthy.
I just badly need a best friend...
