I was labelled techie by 1 of my friend because of the ipod touch I bought 5 days ago.
I have to politely disagree coz I am not = / If I am I would grab it when it first came out. I was already eyeing on ipod touch ever since iphone first came out. I did my own research what it can do, etc. Especially when iphone SDK came out. I even use rapidshare *cough* to download the paid developer package and want to develop for it (even though I do not have it, yet. ha)

The last straw for me to want to get one is coz I seriously need to listen to music while I am outside. Recently my emotion fluctuate too much. However dun worry too much, I have very good self-control. Music just make me happier all the time and stop me from thinking too much =D Then i look thru apple site, I actually jus wanted to get ipod nano just for the purpose of listening to songs, but den when I check apple again, I was once again 'WOW' by the touch 'AWESOMENESS' so i bought the refurbished ipod touch (save $170), which was in absolute perfect condition.

Here's the part which show I am abit techie. Within the 2 hours of playing around with touch and getting bored with it, I hacked(jailbreak) it. Please... jailbreaking isn't illegal~! For those who are concerned. When you bought a ipod touch from the store, it is officially yours, you can do whatever to it. hack it, mod it... you won't get into any trouble. They didn't let u sign a form whereby you will be charged if you mod your toy. Apple just wan to make u think it is illegal because they are such control freak (won't let u modify by your own). Notice they use words like 'not recommended' But for those who wan to send to Apple Care, that's a different story. The only agreement is that if you mod it, you void your warrenty (that's true). So whenever Apple offer me Apple Care, I will jus ignore it.

2nd day, I openSHH to break to access files inside.

3rd day, I have tried over 50 apps and deleted 1/2 of them leaving 20 which I think is the most useful. Justin suggested intelliscreen but after testing it. I found it is not memory and battery friendly so I delete it. Not that it is bad, but I just wan to optimize my whole system.

4th day, I tried to setup VNC connection between my Mac and touch so I can remotely control Mac with touch. After 1 whole day of trying... it realize my router dun support UPnP so I wasted 1 whole of trying.

5th day, I used up 5GB plus of memory already(2.9GB of songs). So luckily I never opted for the 8GB option. iPod Touch reallie have the potential to do alot more rather than just using it as mp3.

So thats all folk~! I love my touchie =D ha
